If you're interested in playing the Tractorgrease Cafe please email TRACTORGREASEBOOKINGS@GMAIL.COM with some links that best represent your sound. We need short BIO, press pic, and link to live video. We will not book you without this info, it is necessary to publicize the show.
(see below for some helpful hints)

WE BOOK ROOTSY SOUNDING BLUES,COUNTRY, JAZZ AND FOLK ACTS.

The Tractorgrease Cafe has two stages. The restaurant room and patio has a capacity of 60 people. If the weather permits we'll use the outdoor stage. Generally anyone who plays the Tractorgrease Cafe has developed a following. We do not count on walk in traffic to provide an audience for our live acts as we're outside of town. If you don't have quality promotional materials and proven live show you'll likely play for the soundman and the waiter, hardly worth it for you or us.
Best thing to do is drop by Tractorgrease for one of our busy open mics Friday evening or Sunday afternoon, see where it is, take a look around, meet us and provide the crowd with memorable show they wouldn't want to miss. Several of our regular acts have taken this route.

     If you're booked we'll provi
de a sound tech, PA system, mics and stands.  You provide your own backline and instruments.
Easy to publicize bands that are friendly to our clientele and offer a quality musical experience do well here. We have a list of Tractorgreasers that play several shows a year and we contribute to each others success.

 Here are some helpful hints:

Please read (below) regarding publicity for the show. Our ability to create a successful show together relies on marketing the show.
How marketable is your act ?  We need these 4 things to promote your show. This info helps promote the show on many levels. It takes an amazingly cool band to get booked without the following info:
  • Quality press pics : At least 1 that can be printed in the newspaper. (Most newspapers have quality professional photographers. They want quality pics in their newspaper) the pic should give an indication to the sound and style of the performer.
  • Banner pic : Used for social media a 3-4 to 10 ratio pic. pics with lots of text cannot be used for Facebook ads.

  • Link to live video: *****Facebook now allows videos as a banner to advertise the show. They help a lot! Use dropbox or google drive to send me an uploadable video file. Mp4 preferred.********* 20 -30 seconds max. Live music fans want to get a taste of what the show will be like. Your produced cd tracks don't do this.  The venue is only interested in the live show.  iPhone videos with the crowd chatting and not paying attention to the band aren't a good idea. Great sound and performance sells shows. A short promo video to post as a facebook event banner or instagram helps a lot.
  • Short bio: everyone involved with selling the show needs a short descriptive bio about your music act. Genre and a comparison to well known bands helps. A press quote is nice too.

The newspaper needs it
The facebook event page needs it
The venue owner needs it
The bartender pitching the show needs it
The waiter or waitress needs an answer when the patrons ask "what's that band like playing thursday night?"
The service staff answering the phone selling tickets needs it. You need it!!!!
